The floor, which has been restored, is made up of solid bricks laid on a layer of sand on firm ground, a technique that allows self-regulation of temperature and humidity through the subsoil.
The mortar used for the walls is lime, so that the walls breathe and the environment is ideal for preserving food and ageing wine.
